The Mercer County Hall of Fame will induct 10 new members during it’s 65th anniversary banquet Jan. 21 at The Park Inn by Radisson.

Slated to join the oldest local hall of fame in the world are:

Kirk Scurpa

Bonnie Bacon Dickson

Mark Brown

Gordy Opitz

Mike Donato

Brian Hills

Bill Snodgrass

Danny Stewart

Ralph Quarterson

Tony Molinari

There will also be three posthumous inductees who will be enshrined at a special ceremony for family and friends on Jan. 20. The are:

Nick Mamone

David J. Kiefer

Elvonre “Bucky” Ferguson

“It’s a very distinguished group of athletes and coaches who have made their mark in Mercer County,” said Jim Tamber, Hall of Fame president.

The speaking group is still being assembled although Greg Brown, Pittsburgh Pirates broadcaster, has agreed to address the expected sellout crown.

Lanny Frattare, former Pirates broadcaster and long-time master of ceremonies for the Hall banquets, will return to perform those emcee duties.
