- Westminster College will host a six-week Spring Training 2011 baseball program for players in grades 1 through 12 from Dec. 5 to Jan. 16. Westminster head coach Carmen Nocera will direct the program in conjunction with U.S. Baseball Academy. Sessions are offered in advanced hitting, pitching and catching at a cost of $99 for six weeks. - The Grove City Area High football team will hold “Black-Out Night” at 7 p.m. Friday when the Eagles take on Wilmington. Fans of Grove City are asked to wear black clothing to the contest.
- The Grove City High and Middle School girls soccer teams are holding a taco dinner fundraiser from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 9 at the Masonic Lodge (across from Burger King) in Grove City. Homemade dinner includes chicken or beef tacos, rice, beans, salsa, chips, dessert and beverage. Adult tickets are $8 and child tickets (age 12 and under) are $5. Take outs will also be available.
