Grove City

I would like to see more recognition for community service. Not too many people know about service projects that are done or let alone where to go to get one. There were two done recently by Boy Scout Troop 76. Those projects were painting over 200 fire hydrants and making new garden beds for the community garden behind the Grove City Middle School. It's always great to hear that there are people in the community trying to make a difference.

EDITOR'S NOTE: Allied News welcomes news of community events, projects and people of all sorts, and tips, text and photos can be emailed to alliednewspaper@gmail.com. We hadn't been notified of the hydrant painting project but happened to see it in action near our office on Erie Street in September and so covered it. Read all about it at alliednews.com by searching for hydrant.
