A thank-you from a veteran

Jack Miles

 Korean War Veteran

I had the privilege of a pleasant experience on Saturday, Nov. 10, as I was checking out my groceries at County Market when the cashier stated that a customer behind me wanted to pay for my groceries.

I, in turn, replied “No thank you, I can afford them.” But, the woman insisted.

I was so surprised that I did not get her name to thank her properly. I am trying to pass it on through writing this in our local newspaper in hopes that she will read this.

Thanks again and may God bless you.
