• Buhl Park in Hermitage, the Mercer County Conservation District and Grove City Agway and Pets have come together to offer a free rain barrel program for groups including schools, community gardens, businesses, places of worship, parks and libraries.

The groups will complete an introductory program on water conservation and learn about minimizing the impacts of stormwater, and they’ll receive a free rain barrel for their location.

• Grove City Community Library hosts its annual American Girl Doll Tea from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Masonic Lodge in Grove City. Registration has started, and this Christmas-themed event is for kids in first through sixth grade.

• Eat’n Park Restaurants is showing its appreciation for all active and former United States military personnel and their families by offering a 10 percent discount on their entire check during the month of November.

The discount applies to all meals on the active or former military personnel’s check. The discount is available at all Eat-n Park locations in Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia.

It is valid for dine-in meals only, and cannot be combined with any other discounts. Proof of service is required.

• The Butler VA Health Care System is offering flu vaccination clinics to veterans at the main campus and community-based outpatient clinics:

» 1 to 7 p.m. Nov. 3 and 17 at the Lawrence County VA Outpatient Clinic, 1750 New Butler Road, New Castle.

» 1 to 7 p.m. Nov. 10 and 24 at the Michael A. Marzano VA Outpatient Clinic, 295 N. Kerrwood Drive, Hermitage.

» 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 18 in the parking lot of the Abie Abraham VA Clinic, 353 N. Duffy Road, Butler.

Veterans enrolled at the Butler VA Health Care System should present their VA issued health identification card. Veterans not currently enrolled at the Butler VA should present one form of identification and provide a copy of their military discharge (DD214). Bring your cell phone for check-in purposes.

The Butler location will be a drive-through clinic. At the other clinics, please practice social distancing and wear a face mask or covering.
