DECORATIONS

• The Grove City Area Chamber of Commerce’s 13th annual Christmas in the Park displays are lit 5 to 11 p.m. daily through Jan. 2 at Grove City Memorial Park. Visitors can view the displays from the safety of their vehicles. Admission is free.

CONTESTS

• The Mercer County Conservation District is hosting a photo contest to showcase Mercer County’s finest natural resources. Photos are being accepted through Nov. 1, 2021, and the pictures must have been taken in Mercer County between October 2020 and October 2021.

Money raised through this contest will support the Ross Paulenich Memorial Conservation Scholarship Fund, which is awarded to an outstanding Mercer County high school senior who plans on majoring in environmental science, agriculture, biology, engineering, or conservation studies.

LIBRARY EVENTS

• Most programming at the Grove City Community Library is being done virtually. The building is closed to the public; curbside pickup and computer access are available by appointment.

These events have been announced:

» The Noon Year’s Eve Party is being held virtually this year. The Zoom event starts at 11:15 a.m. Dec. 31. Call the library to register your child. Those who are registered in advance can stop by the library on Dec. 29 or 30 to pick up goodie bags containing snacks, hats, noise makers, a craft and more to help ring in the new year.

» Fall story time for ages 3 to 6 will be held from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays in the basement of Tower Presbyterian Church, Grove City. Registration is required, and participants must wear face masks and maintain social distancing.

Grove City Community Library is at 125 W. Main St., Grove City. The staff can be reached 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. The library will close at noon Dec. 23, be closed Dec. 24 and 25, close at 1 p.m. Dec. 31.
