Existing districts for the Pennsylvania House are at left, above. Tuesday's election chose representatives who will serve the redrawn districts at right, starting in 2015.

Some Mercer County voters will find they have been assigned new districts.

Because of state legislative redistricting that takes effect with this election, Delaware Township has been moved from the 7th District to the 17th, while areas around Greenville and West Salem Township have been moved from the 17th to the 7th.

The most extensive changes can be seen in the eastern part of the county.

"Almost the entire northeastern part of the county went from the 17th District to the 8th," said Director of Elections Jeff Greenburg. "Basically, anything east of Route 19 is the 8th District."

More than half the members of the state House of Representatives went unchallenged in this week's elections, getting passes back to Harrisburg that many observers credit to gerrymandered district boundaries.
