Forchue, 24, of Wappingers Falls, N.Y.; Jeffrey Feliz, 20, of Philadelphia, and Brandon Rashawn Thompson, 23, of Yonkers, were charged June 30 by state police with receiving stolen property and possession of a small amount of marijuana for personal use.
Police stopped their vehicle just before 8 a.m. June 30 near mile marker 24 on Interstate 80 eastbound in Wolf Creek Township.
A “probable cause” search was conducted, yielding 19 iPhone XS Max cell phones, and a small amount of marijuana.
A further investigation revealed that the phones were fraudulently obtained using stolen identities, police said in court documents.
The retail value of the phones total $29,811.
Police did not indicate who was driving the vehicle or why the vehicle was stopped and searched.
All four men had preliminary hearings July 10 with District Judge D. Neil McEwen, Pine Township.
Charges were held to the Mercer County Court of Common Pleas for all four men.
They are all free on bond, and their preliminary hearings are set for 9 a.m. Sept. 10 with Judge Daniel F. Wallace.
