Police looking for missing Salem Township man

Myers

SALEM TOWNSHIP – Pennsylvania State Police are looking for a Salem Township man who did not return to his home after he told his family he was going for a walk.

Russell Lynn Myers, 53, of 75 Long Hill Road, was last seen by his son at about 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18, in the area of Long Hill and Beatty Schools roads, said Trooper Christopher Ciaella of the Mercer state police barracks.

“That wasn’t unusual for him to do,” Ciaella said of Myers taking long walks near his home, which is about 2 miles northwest of Hadley.

His family reported him missing on Feb. 19, and police have done a lot of searching.

Myers is 5 feet 6 inches tall with blue eyes, white hair and a white beard.

When he left home, he was wearing a gray coat and bib overalls. His left arm was partially amputated following a motorcycle accident years ago.

Anyone with information about Myers is asked to call state police at 724-662-6162.
