PINE TOWNSHIP – Two Grove City women reported that a man tried to get into their vehicle while they were parked at a Pine Township business.
Richard Russell Rohrer, 44, of Grove City, was charged by state police with harassment and disorderly conduct after the Feb. 4 incident.
The women headed to their vehicle outside Aldi supermarket, 2 Pine Grove Village Drive, after they finished shopping around 3:45 p.m., police said.
While they were still sitting in the vehicle, a man approached and tried to open the door handle several times.
The women were able to drive away without further incident.
The suspect was identified from video footage from inside the grocery store. Members of Grove City Police Department confirmed that the man was Rohrer.
State police interviewed Rohrer on Feb. 9, and he admitted to the incident, but the motivation behind his actions is unknown.
Grove City College Campus Safety Department also assisted.
