OIL CITY – A PennDOT administrator for Mercer County has been named highway maintenance manager for Venango County.
In her new role, Paula Klingler will lead 86 employees, manage a budget of $16 million, and is charged with responsibility for all the maintenance activities on 1,105 lane miles of state roadway and 223 state-owned bridges in Venango County.
Klingler started her career with PennDOT in 1993, working as a temporary Transportation Equipment Operator before moving to a permanent full-time operator position with Clarion County, which is part of the District 10 service area. In 2002, she was promoted to the position of Highway Foreman in Clarion County. Klingler joined District 1 in 2016, when she was named the Highway Maintenance Coordinator in Mercer County. Most recently, she served as an Assistant Highway Maintenance Manager, also in Mercer County.
She lives in Pinegrove Township, Venango County, with her husband Michael.
