• Grove City Ford, 1 Taylor Plaza, Pine Township, will host its inaugural car show 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 28. There will be prizes, food, music, kids’ activities and more.
• Grace United Methodist Church in Grove City hosts a rummage and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 28. There will be lots of great deals, baked goods and lunch. At 1 p.m., buy a bagful for $2.

• Slippery Rock Community Library offers these programs and events:
» Geri Fit – senior fitness classes intended to improve balance and build strength – is held 11 a.m. Thursday and Monday. Registration is suggested for new participants.

» The library has a new display of juvenile large print books thanks to patrons’ support from the summer yard sale.

• The Grove City Community Library announces the following:
» Virtual kids’ cooking classes for kids in first grade and up meets monthly via a private Facebook group. Learn to cook from home while watching Miss Heather demonstrate a cooking or baking challenge along with the recipe.
Each participant will have a certain amount of time to complete the recipe. Participants will have a chance to win a prize. Contact Miss Heather to sign up.
» The Pokémon Trading Card Game Club meets at 3:30 p.m. Wednesdays starting Sept. 15. It is recommended for ages 7 and up.
» Paws to Read will be held starting at 6 p.m. Sept. 17. Children are invited to come to the library to read to foster cats and kittens from Grove City Area Pet Rescue, which welcomes donations of supplies and monetary contributions.
Call the library to sign up for a time slot. The interaction will help prepare the cats for adoption and help the kids with their reading skills. There will be activities and snacks, and kids can make their own cat toy.
» Drive-in Movie Night is 5:30 p.m. Sept. 24 with “Hotel Transylvania.” Kids should bring their own homemade car to sit in while they watch the movie. Snacks and drinks provided.
» Build a Blanket Fort Night is 5:30 p.m. Oct. 8. Families can bring blankets, sheets, clothespins and other supplies to build their own fort, then enjoy games, snacks and more. Wear your pajamas and bring a snack to share. Registration is required.
» Family Movie Night is 5:30 p.m. Oct. 22 with “Ratatouille.” Kids should wear and oversized white shirt to “dress like a chef,” and they’ll be making their own chef hats and snacks. Registration is required.
» The fourth annual Halloween Bash is 5:30 p.m. Oct. 29 at the library. Bring a snack to share and a donation for Grove City Area Pet Rescue.
There will be crafts, games, food, costume contest, monster bash disco party and more.
» Preschool story time for ages 3 to 6 will be held from 10 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays. Adults are welcome to join the craft portion of story time.

• Lakeview Area Public Library hosts these events and programs:
» The Lakeview Area Public Library is selling raffle tickets for a hanging quarter beef from Minor Acres Meat Packing. Tickets are $10 and are sold at the library from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays and Friday, and at Windy Knoll Grocery and Minor Meat Packing. The drawing will be held Labor Day Weekend.
» The library has partnered with the Dolly Parton Imagination Library, the Stoneboro Lions Club and the United Way of Mercer County to provide free books for Lakeview-area children ages birth to 5 years old. Parents can visit imaginationlibrary.com to register, or they can contact the library for more details.

» Circulation desk volunteers are needed at assist library staff. Computer skills are preferred, and volunteers must be available on a weekly basis plus one Saturday a month.

• Leesburg ECO Presbyterian Church, 1831 Perry Highway, Springfield Township, hosts ”Touch a Truck…and All Things That Go” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 28, rain or shine.
Visitors can check out more than 50 kinds of vehicles including fire trucks and construction and farm equipment. There will be clowns and music, and the Lions Club will have treats for the kids.
