GROVE CITY – A fundraiser is being held on Nov. 20 in Grove City to help a 9-year-old girl reach her goal of getting a service dog.
Eliana Gentilini is autistic with severe combined ADHD and sensory processing challenges. A service dog will improve her quality of life and give her more independence and confidence.
The event will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. at The HUB, 145 S. Broad St. It includes a silent auction with baskets and gifts from area businesses, bake sale, refreshments for sale and handmade crafts.
Paws for Eliana has raised $9,200 so far; the goal is $17,000. The family has been working with New Hope Assistance Dogs LLC, from Warren, Pa.
The family is looking for a few more community vendors and sponsors for the fundraiser along with volunteers.
