FUNDRAISERS

• A spaghetti dinner to benefit Landon Peterman will be held from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Feb. 9 at Copley (Ohio) High School, 3807 Ridgewood Road, Copley, Ohio.

Landon, 7, is a son of Randy and Carrie McConnell Peterman, both graduates of Commodore Perry High School, who now reside in Copley. Landon had a malignant brain tumor removed on Dec. 17 and has a very long road of treatment ahead of him. 

Landon is a grandson of Jeff and Nan Peterman and Larry and Debbie McConnell of the Clarks Mills/Hadley area. His great-grandparents are Carol Campbell and Pete and Kathy Shreffler, all of Greenville, and Connie Peterman of Hadley.

Minimum donation of $5 per person for dinner. There will also be a basket raffle and tickets will be $1 per ticket or six for $5. Checks to Randy or Carrie Peterman or cash only. If you are unable to attend but still wish to donate, send checks written to Randy or Carrie Peterman c/o Peterman Benefit, 4290 Scarlet Oak Drive, Copley, Ohio 44321.

All proceeds go directly to the Peterman family.

 

SPECIAL EVENTS

• A Candlelight March for Life, a valley-wide candlelight March for Life, is set for today. A pre-march warm up will begin at 5:45 p.m.; march from St. Joseph’s Church to Notre Dame Church in Sharon at 6:15 p.m. An Adoration/Litany of Life Prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. and sending forth will take place at 8:30 p.m.
