Sharpsville Area Elementary School will hold kindergarten registration for the 2019-2020 school year Feb. 26 and 27 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the elementary office conference room. A child is eligible to enter if the child is a least 5 years and no months old on or before the first day of the school term.

Parents/guardians are required to bring these items to registration: 

• Four proofs of residency – IRS tax return, employer letter or pay stub, Pennsylvania drivers license or motor vehicle registration, residence lease, letter from the Department of Welf are, health insurance, Penn Power bill, property deed, voter registration, property tax card, auto insurance policy, National Fuel gas bill, U.S. Postal Service document, bank statement, Sharpsville Water Co./sewer bill, cable bill or current credit card bill.

• State-issued original birth certificate.

• Custody/guardianship papers (if applicable).

• Current immunization record from child’s physician. Pennsylvania immunization requirements must be met before the child can attend school on the first day. Students do not need to have complete immunizations to register for school.

Enrollment packets are available on the district website at and in the elementary office. Packets will also be available to day of registration.

Packets/forms will be collected during registration. Once your packet is complete, an appointment will be made for your child to be screened. Kindergarten screenings will be April 2 to 4.

Kindergarten teachers will not be present the day of registration. Students are not required to be present to register.


Wilmington Area Elementary School asks those with a child who will be 5 years old before Sept. 1, 2019, that they wish to register for kindergarten for the 2019-2020 school year, to call the elementary school office at 724-656-8866 ext. 3000 immediately to make an appointment.

A kindergarten screening clinic will be held April 3 and 4 at Wilmington Area Elementary School (by appointment only).

A packet containing necessary registration forms and appointment time will be mailed about the second week of March to parents who contact the elementary school office.
