Speaker to address eye care mission work

SHARON – Church Women United in the Shenango Valley celebrate May Friendship Day at 10:30 a.m. May 24 at Cedar Avenue Church of God, Sharon.

Guest speaker Bob Means will have information about his mission visions work in past years locally and overseas.

He grew up in Farrell and graduated from Farrell High School and went on to Erie County Technical Institute graduating from the optical technician program. He worked in the Shenango Valley for 26 years.

He has worked with vision missions in local school districts, including Sharon and Hermitage, and with colleagues in traveling to Pittsburgh suburbs on numerous Eye Mission rides to help fill the gap of eyecare outside the Shenango Valley.
