HERMITAGE – The Kennedy Catholic Family of Schools will be involved in a multitude of special activities as part of the 2019 Catholic Schools Week Celebration Jan. 27 through Feb. 2.

The theme for 2019 National Catholic Schools Week is “Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed.” with participating schools observing the annual celebration with Masses, prospective student visit days, inspirational speakers, and community centered events for students and staff.

This week-long event is a celebration of faith, family, and the overarching mission of the schools “Christo Servire,” which means to serve Christ. 

Major events include prospective family visits from 12:30 to 2 p.m. Sunday at Saint John Paul II, Mini-PreK through Grade 6, and Kennedy Catholic Middle High School from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m.

Today there will be we have guest speakers such as Vicki Lingner, professional storyteller and poet speaking to our elementary students; and Pastor Sherry Swetz, CEO of Joshua’s Haven and ‘73 KC alumnae, meeting with our middle/high-schoolers.

On Thursday, former Brigadier Gen. Dr. Tim Trainor, president of Mount Saint Mary’s University, will speak to students about their “Vocational Journey.”
