Church’s annual chili supper Nov. 26
HENDERSONVILLE – The “All You Can Eat” Annual Chili Dinner at Hendersonville Methodist Church will be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Nov. 26.
Homemade chili, bread, desserts and beverages will be served. Adults, $8; children 10 and under, $4. Fill a quart for $5.
The church is at 1013 Jackson Center-Polk Road. Handicap accessible.
Bethany Presbyterian hosts Thanksgiving meal
MERCER – Bethany Presbyterian Church will host its annual Thanksgiving dinner at noon Thursday.
Turkey, dressing, potatoes, gravy, rolls and beverage will be provided. Please bring a vegetable and/or dessert (if you are able).

Any person or family who might be spending Thanksgiving alone are welcome.
Grace UM hosting Thanksgiving dinner
GROVE CITY – Grace United Methodist Church will host a Thanksgiving Day Community Dinner noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday.
Menu will include turkey and stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, corn/green bean casserole, rolls and butter, dessert and beverages. Take-outs available.
Doors open at 11 a.m. with appetizers.

Clarks Mills UM hosts craft/soup sale
CLARKS MILLS – Clarks Mills United Methodist Church will host a sale of crafts, soup/baked goods and rummage items 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 1.
Christmas decorations, toys, jewelry, and household items from many vendors will be offered.
Lunch will feature homemade soups, pies, and sandwiches. Soup will also be available by the quart.

GROVE CITY – “Holden Evening Prayer Service” will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 819 Columbia Avenue, Grove City, at 5:30 p.m. every Wednesday in December before Christmas (Dec. 5, 12 and 19).

Holy Trinity women need baby kit donations
GROVE CITY – The women of Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 819 Columbia Ave., are seeking donations of baby care kit items.
Some items that are needed include: T-shirts; gowns or pajamas (without feet); receiving blankets; cloth diapers; jackets, sweaters or sweatshirts with hoods; socks; hand towels; 4- to 5-ounce bath soap bars; and diaper pins or large safety pins.
Donations of school, sewing, health kits needed
LAKEVIEW – The Lakeview Area Methodists United in Faith are seeking donations of school, sewing and health kits.
The kits, which cost from $11 to $28, benefit people in need.

Bible International group meets at Tower

Don Reed documentary available on DVD
HERMITAGE – “The Don Reed Story, A Life on the Edge of Eternity” is now on DVD and available for sale to the public.
They are available for $15. Anything extra a buyer may add will go to the production cost, mailing costs, prison ministries, or a special fund for ALS patients in the area in memory of Donna Lou Reed, who passed on Dec. 29, 2005.

To donate a DVD to a prison, send the name of the prison and the chaplain’s name, and we will donate a DVD in your name.
Grieving support group meets
STONEBORO – If you or someone you know is grieving, the non-denominational Grieving Support Group meets at Stoneboro United Methodist Church (32 Lake St.).

ROSES meet monthly for grieving spouses
PINE TOWNSHIP – ROSES (Reaching Out after Spousal loss for Education and Support) is a peer support group for women 60 and under who have lost a spouse or partner.
Meetings are 7 to 8:30 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month at Grove City Alliance Church, 845 N. Liberty Road, Grove City.

Always Hope meets for loved ones of addicts
GROVE CITY – Always Hope, a support group for loved ones of addicts, meets at 7 p.m. the first and third Wednesday of each month at East Main Presbyterian Church, Grove City, on the lower level beneath the Fellowship Hall.
The mission of the group is to share, support and encourage one another with the issues surrounding addiction.
Each meeting lasts about 90 minutes. Confidentiality and trust are upheld, and has essentially been the success of Always Hope.
