Church to celebrate Christmas in July

MERCER – Trinity Presbyterian Church, 110 East Market St., celebrates “Christmas in July” during the 10 a.m. service Sunday.

Favorite carols and other music of the Christmas season will be featured. Those attending are invited to wear a Christmas sweater or tie, according to the Rev. Dr. Catherine Craley, pastor.

The entire building is accessible, and adult-supervised child care is provided.

Brother trio to perform concert at church

MERCER – The 3 Heath Brothers, a male trio from Thomasville, N.C., will present a concert at 7 p.m. July 26 at Wayside Community Church, 1911 Mercer-Grove City Road.

The trio is made up of three brothers; 16-year-old twins and their 18-year-old brother. Their harmony and spirit has enabled them to receive numerous awards and recognition. They have been invited to sing on the “main stage” at the National Quartet Convention to be held in September in Pigeon Forge, Tenn.

Stoneboro church holds Kids’ Day Camp

STONEBORO – Emmanuel Christian Church, 4495 Greenville-Sandy Lake Road, Stoneboro, will host a free Kids’ Day Camp for children age 4 years (by June 1) through sixth grade.

The theme is “The Incredible Race (One Family, One Race, One Savior).” There will be singing, crafts, games, and more from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 22 through 26.

Lunch will be provided. Transportation is available to and from the Stoneboro and Jackson Center fire halls and Lakeview, Greenville and Commodore Perry High Schools.

Kids riding the bus must pre-register by Saturday.
