• Senior Airman Zack Leon Schell was recently awarded a joint service achievement medal while serving with the Air Force in England.

He was cited for outstanding work as a Russia analyst and aerospace watch analyst from February 2017 to present. Senior Airman Schell was one of two service members to qualify as both a Russia and aerospace analyst.

Additionally he completed his Navy enlisted information warfare specialist qualification, the first non-Navy service member in the commands history to earn this distinction.

Senior Airman Schell is a former Sharon resident, son of Guy and Laura Schell of Pittsburgh and grandson of Etta Schell of Masury.

He has also twice been nominated as serviceman of the quarter while stationed in England, having enlisted upon graduation from Keystone Oaks High School in Pittsburgh in 2016.
