The Slippery Rock Rotary Club will sponsor a spaghetti dinner fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. March 27 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 670 S. Main St., Slippery Rock.
Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. The all-you-can-eat meal includes spaghetti, meatballs, salad, bread and beverage. Desserts will be available for additional cost.

The Slippery Rock Rotary Club will sponsor a spaghetti dinner fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. March 27 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 670 S. Main St., Slippery Rock.

The dinner benefits local and worldwide Rotary charities, including the Polio Plus campaign to eradicate polio worldwide. Tickets are available from any Slippery Rock Rotary club member and at the door.

Aid local firefighters by buying chicken dinner

Volant Volunteer Fire Company will have a stuffed chicken breast dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. March 27. Dinners will be available for take-out.

Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. Proceeds benefit the fire department.

March 24 is deadline to register to vote

March 24 is the deadline in Pennsylvania to register to vote or change your registration. April 22 is the primary election for Republican and Democratic nominations.

To qualify to participate in this election, a person must be a U.S. citizen for at least one month before the election; a resident of Pennsylvania and his or her election district for at least 30 days before April 22; and be at least 18 years old on the day of the primary. To vote in the primary, a voter must also be either a registered Democrat or Republican.

Registration forms should be available at local post offices and libraries, as well as the Mercer County Courthouse. Forms can also be downloaded electronically from the Department of State’s Web site at www.dos.state.pa.us/voting.
