We must faithfully manage the earth which God has entrusted to us

Majestic. Awe-inspiring.
After driving only few hours from our house on Lamor Road near Mercer on Monday, we found ourselves standing in view of one of God’s marvels: Niagara Falls.
It is breathtaking. It exceeds expectation and cannot be captured by words, film or any form of artistry. You just have to see it. Hear it. Experience it.

  • Unlike people, Jesus will never fail you
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths.” – Proverbs 3:5, 6
Sadly, trust seems to be more obvious in our society today by its absence.

  • The war against the unborn needs to be ended
In May, we remember and pay honor to the men and women who have paid the highest price and made the ultimate sacrifice by giving their lives for our country.
They died defending our country and its ideals, freedoms and people.

  • Why America will never elect an atheist president
Could an atheist be president in America?
That would be “disastrous,” said Michael Medved.
Medved gave his reasons at a luncheon at Grove City College on April 10 during its “Church & State 2008” conference.

  • Give up the leaven to get into heaven
Passover is undoubtedly one of the greatest types of the redemptive work of Jesus Christ.
He was the Passover lamb upon Calvary’s tree and his blood caused damnation – deserved by all mankind – to be passed to those who put their trust in him as Savior and Lord.

  • Are you shouting praise or ‘crucify’?
    “They raised a shout.” – Mark 11:1-11
We are entering into the passion week and in our text we find Jesus riding a colt coming into Jerusalem.
What an exciting event this must have been for the people of Jerusalem.
Could you just imagine the excitement in the air?
    Jesus, the Messiah, was coming.

  • The path to better character is not always a smooth one
Romans 5:3-5: “We know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not disappoint us because God has poured out his love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit whom he has given us.”
Most of us can expect a good measure of pleasant circumstances and experiences in 2008. But whatever path we find ourselves on in the new year, it is sure also to have its share of roots, pot holes, confusing twists and turns, and other kinds of debris.

  • The power of change
Change is a part of life. When we plan for change to occur, there are adjustments that come as we transition between what has been and what will be. Even when we plan for change, adjustments are sometimes difficult.

  • Priest hosts discussion to explain Orthodox Christianity
A discussion was held Saturday at a Mercer-area church in the hopes of taking the mystery out of Orthodox Christianity.

  • Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved
We receive spiritual strength and enjoy genuine friendship with other Christians through worship and fellowship. Why not attend and become involved with a local church, beginning this Sunday? Not only this week, but a thousand years from now, you will be glad you did. Your new beginning will last for an eternity.
