BENBROOK, Texas —
Robert Melvin McCauslin of Benbrook, Texas, passed away Saturday, March 20, 2010, in his home. He was 80.
The 12th of 14 children, Bob was born Jan. 30, 1930, in Grove City, to Edward and Myrtle McCauslin.
He traveled the world while serving with the U.S. Army and Air Force, from which he retired in Sacramento, Calif., in 1972.
Mr. McCauslin worked an additional 14 years for Capitol Office Systems, and moved to Benbrook in 2004.
He enjoyed rearing his children, hosting family dinners and inventing ingenious solutions to mechanical and other problems.
Surviving him are: daughters Kikujo Ford (Robert, Natalie, Paul, Melette, Gina); Tina McCauslin (Austin); Amber Natale (Brandon); and Chris Gamble (Jessica, Jordan, Augustine, Kaitlin, Justin and Sarah); a son, Takehito McCauslin; a sister, Mary Kelly; a brother Clarence McCauslin (Alice); and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Quintina McCauslin.
A memorial service was Friday (4-9-10) in East Lawn Mortuary Chapel, 5757 Greenback Lane, Sacramento.
