Dawn Patricia Caldwell of 93 Second Ave., Sharon, passed away unexpectedly at 6 a.m. Wednesday, April 21, 2010, in her home after a brief illness. She was 59.
Ms. Caldwell was born Jan. 16, 1951, in Sharon to James and Anna Mary Weller Caldwell.
She attended Sharon schools and was a caregiver for local elderly persons.
Dawn enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family and friends. She was of the Catholic faith.
Surviving are: her companion, David P. “Buck” Buchanan Sr., at home; three sons, Jonathan C. Caldwell and his wife Dana, Washington state; Steven P. Caldwell and his wife Dawn, Cortland; and Jeffrey J. Caldwell and his wife Darlene, Sharpsville; a stepdaughter, Renae L. Buchanan, Greenville; two stepsons, David P. Buchanan Jr.; and Brian E. Buchanan and his wife Lisa; and a sister, Cheryl A. and her husband John Ser, all Sharon; and a brother, Philip F. Caldwell and his wife Deb, Columbus, Ohio.
Dawn also leaves a special niece, Michelle Hazuda, Mercer; six grandchildren; and 11 stepgrandchildren and a stepgreat-grandchild.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Suzanne Molaskey, Nona Sumner and Julia Young; and her brother, James Caldwell.

Memorial service at 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home with the Rev. William Meyer, senior interim pastor of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Sharon, officiating.
