Doris Jean Urey, of 729 N. Perry Highway, Coolspring Township, passed away unexpectedly at 5 p.m. Saturday (7-12-08) in the hospital of Pittsburgh Mercy Health System due to a stroke. She was 67.

A daughter of Robert M. and Doris Eileen Hattersley Jaillet, she was born Aug. 9, 1940, in Newark, N.J.

She graduated from Mercer High School in 1958.

She married Ross L. Urey in October of 1960. He passed away July 25, 1994.

Mrs. Urey was currently employed at Mercer County Area Agency on Aging, Mercer; and retired from Sharon Regional Health System, where she was a phlebotomist.

She was of Protestant faith and was a member of Master Gardeners, Mercer.

She is survived by: a daughter, Wendy Ann Membreno and her husband Oscar, Taunton, Mass.; two sons, Jeffery Ross Urey, Mercer; and Christopher Owen Urey and his wife Erika, McKeesport; a brother, Robert O. Jaillet and his wife Margaret, Hubbard; and twin grandsons, Justin Owen and Ostin Jeffery Membreno.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth Jaillet.

Visitation was Tuesday (7-15-08) in Cunningham Funeral Home Inc., 144 S. Pitt St., Mercer.

Funeral service was Wednesday (7-16-08) in the funeral home.

Interment in Crestview Memorial Park, Pine Township.
