Published July 11, 2008 01:53 pm - Lori Lee Sherwood, Shadeland Estates Mobile Home Park, 3652 N. Hermitage Road, Lot 36, Pymatuning Township, formerly of Damascus, Md., and Greenville, passed away at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday (7-9-08) in her residence after a fire in her home. She was 69.

Lori Lee Sherwood, Shadeland Estates Mobile Home Park, 3652 N. Hermitage Road, Lot 36, Pymatuning Township, formerly of Damascus, Md., and Greenville, passed away at 9:45 a.m. Wednesday (7-9-08) in her residence after a fire in her home. She was 69.
Ms. Sherwood was born June 18, 1939, in Turtle Creek, Pa., to John L. and Helen R. DeMay Rosemeyer.
She was a graduate of the former Wilkins High School, Turtle Creek. She also attended Slippery Rock University.
She worked as a bonding agent for Early, Cassidy & Schilling Insurance Agency, Rockville, Md., for eight years, retiring June 30, 2008.
She was a former member of St. Mark’s United Church of Christ, New Hamburg.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 63, Greenville; and the Red Hat Society in Damascus.
She enjoyed crafts, sewing, reading, bowling, animals, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren and extended family.
Surviving are: a daughter, Stacy L. D’Urso and her husband David, Greenville; a son, Scott J. Sherwood and his wife, Suellyn, Damascus; a brother, John E. Rosemeyer, St. Louis; a sister, Martha “Peggy” Wilson, Sierra Vista, Ariz.; several nieces and nephews; and four grandchildren, Nicholas J. D’Urso, Derek A. D’Urso, Chelsea L. D’Urso and Amber L. Sherwood.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Richard A. Rosemeyer.

Funeral service was Saturday (7-12-08) in the funeral home, with Monsignor Andrew H. Karg, pastor of St. Michael’s Church, Greenville, officiating.
Burial in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Greenville, with committal.
