Banquet cook, Catholic has foster son in Mercer

COOLSPRING — Emilie Gigliotti of West Connelly Boulevard, Sharon, formerly of West Middlesex, passed away at 5:34 a.m. Tuesday (2-5-13) in Avalon Springs, Coolspring Township. She was 92.

Mrs. Gigliotti was born May 16, 1920, in Cleveland to John and Sophie Sandole Chepyes.

She was a graduate of Cleveland High School and was a banquet cook.

Emilie was a member of St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church, Hermitage.

Her husband, Mark Anthony Gigliotti, is deceased.

Surviving are: a foster son, William Macklin, Mercer; three sisters-in-law, Mary Lattyak, Volant; Elizabeth Bailik, West Middlesex; and Ruth Flick, Tionesta, Pa.; two grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Julie, Margaret, Ann and Elizabeth; and an infant brother.

Calling hours was Friday (2-8-13) in Smith Funeral Home, West Middlesex.

Funeral service was Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Kevin Marks, pastor of St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church, Hermitage, officiating.

Interment in St. James Cemetery, New Bedford.
