MERCER — Lorraine Hall Gressly, Mercer, formerly of Waynesburg, Pa., died Monday, April 29, 2013, at the Avalon Springs Nursing Center in Mercer. She was 82.

Mrs. Gressly was born Feb. 26, 1931 in Pittgas, Pa. to the late Harold and Gladys Jackson Hall.

She worked as a nurse at the Greene County Memorial Hospital in the emergency room until her retirement in 1993.

Mrs. Gressly was a long-time, active member of First Baptist Church in Waynesburg for over 35 years.

She enjoyed traveling all over the country and gardening. She also enjoyed singing.

Her husband, Francis L. Gressly, whom she married Dec. 13, 1952, died March 18, 2010.

Surviving are: two daughters, Pam Erdos, wife of Philip, Mercer; and Bobbie Perkins, wife of Greg, Sweetser, Ind.; a son, B. Keith Gressly, husband of Molly, Lebanon, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren; two sisters, Faye George and Jean Shultz, both of Uniontown, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Eck.

Funeral: Was Friday in the funeral home, with the Rev. Dr. Edward Peirce, officiating.
