GROVE CITY —
Paul E. Eperthener, formerly of Summit Street, Grove City, passed away at 5:45 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2013, in Trinity Living Center, Grove City, where he resided for three years. He was 79.
Mr. Eperthener was born Oct. 8, 1933, in New Castle to George W. and Thelma Mathieson Eperthener.
He retired in 1995 from Grove City College, where he was in the maintenance department for 37 years.
He was a veteran with the U.S. Air Force.
As a member of East Main Presbyterian Church, Grove City, Mr. Eperthener formerly served as a deacon.
He was a volunteer and a driver for Grove City Meals on Wheels. Paul was an avid bowler and belonged to leagues in the Grove City area.
His wife, the former Eleanor F. Donley, whom he married Sept. 22, 1955, died June 10, 2010.
Surviving are: two sons, Paul E. Eperthener Jr. and his wife Brenda, Grove City; and David J. Eperthener and wife Susan, Pittsburgh; three grandchildren, Sarah and Emily Eperthener; and Maegan Eperthener; and a brother, Ron Eperthener Sr. and his wife Betty, all Grove City.
Besides his wife, Paul was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Alyssa Eperthener; a brother, Robert Eperthener; and a sister, Betty Lou Hoover.

Service: Funeral service was Monday in the funeral home with the Rev. Jerry Mahaffey officiating.
Interment: Crestview Memorial Park Inc., Pine Township.
