PINE — Melva J. Pelton, formerly of Warren, Ohio, and Townville, Pa., passed away at 9:48 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2013, in Orchard Manor, Pine Township, after a sudden illness. She was 91.

Mrs. Pelton was born Jan. 8, 1922, in Niagara Falls, N.Y., to Fred and Jennie Birchard Steinman.

A homemaker, she was a Protestant.

Her husband, Clyde I. Pelton, whom she married Jan. 18, 1941, preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 2008.

Surviving are: her three daughters, Patricia 'Pat' Flavell and her husband Norman, Mercer; and Joyce Ronnengen and her husband Raymond, and Sylvia Kuminkoski and her husband Buddy, all Clearwater, Fla.; 14 grandchildren; and several great- and great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Pelton was preceded in death by her parents; a son, James I. Pelton; and two brothers, Robert and Leslie Steinman.

Calling hours: 10 a.m. to time of service Monday (7-22-13) in CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME Inc., 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.

Service: Funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home.

Interment: Northview Cemetery, Gustavus, Ohio.
