Thelma L. Bollinger, a resident of Pine Township since 1953, died at 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, after an extended illness in Ridgeview Elder Care, Curwensville, Pa. She was 87.
Thelma was born Nov. 1, 1926, in Grove City to Clint and Sara Winifred Martin McDougall.
She graduated from Grove City High School with the class of 1944.
She married Robert James Bollinger on Oct. 2, 1944. He passed away in 1990.
A homemaker, Mrs. Bollinger formerly worked for more than 20 years at Mercer Auto Auction.
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Grove City.
She was active with scouts, 4-H, the former Bashline Hospital Guild, Daughters of the American Revolution, Snowdrifters and Snowmobilers.
Surviving are: four children, LeeAnn Mundt and her husband Howard C. "Corky," Fayetteville, Ga.; Sally Bollinger, Clearfield, Pa.; Roberta "Robin" Greendoner and her husband Richard, Grampian, Pa.; and Bruce Bollinger, Grove City; six grandsons; and five great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Leola Aldine McDougall.
