Winifred McKee Leach, Springfield Township, formerly of Grove City and Big Run, Pa., passed away at 6:12 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2013, in Grove City Medical Center, Pine Township, after a brief illness. She was 92.
Mrs. Leach was born April 16, 1920, in Jefferson County to H. Ray Colkitt and Mary Laura Stewart Colkitt.
She was a graduate of Big Run High School, class of 1938.Ê
Mrs. Leach retired in 1985 from First Seneca Bank, now PNC in Grove City, where she had worked since 1961.
She was a member of Plain Grove Presbyterian Church.
Winifred moved back to Big Run from 1988 to 2010. During that time, she was a member of Big Run Presbyterian Church, where she served as church treasurer.
She was a proud lifetime member of the Ladies Auxiliary to Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9044, Big Run.
Her first husband, Robert Allen McKee on Oct. 18, 1941, passed away March 13, 1961. She then married Russell W. Leach on Feb. 20, 1988; he passed away July 31, 2000.
Surviving are three children, Carol Gargasz and her husband Raymond, Volant; Jean Rongaus and her husband Edward, Mercer; and Robert J. McKee and his wife Linda, DuBois, Pa.; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, James Colkitt, Kennesaw, Ga.
Besides her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Hildred Gourley, Joan Kerr and Eleanor Anderson; and a brother, Ray Colkitt.

Calling hours: Were 4 to 7 p.m. Friday (4-5-13) and are being held 10:30 a.m. to time of service Saturday (4-6-13) in CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME Inc., 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.
Service: Funeral service at 11:30 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with the Rev. F. Stanley Keehlwetter, interim pastor of Plain Grove Presbyterian Church, officiating.
Interment: Crestview Memorial Park Inc., Pine Township.
