Former Mercer man worked at GJ Republic

WAYNESBORO, Pa. — Robert T. Klink, 84, of Waynesboro, formerly of Mercer, died Wednesday (5-29-13) in Martinsburg Veterans Medical Center.

He was born April 23, 1929, in Finzel, Md., a son of Calvert and Nellie (Eisler) Klink.

Mr. Klink served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked at Bethlehem Steel and at Sharon Steel. He later did custodial work at George Junior Republic, Pine Township.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen G. (Lehr) Klink; his infant son, Robert; his son, David; and his brothers, William, James and Donald.

He is survived by his children, Margaret Schmelzer and her husband David; and Ramona Klink, all Waynesboro; Daniel Klink; and Beverly Roberts and her husband Hiram, all Lakeland Fla.; his grandchildren, Chris Waldorf; Tim Waldorf and his wife Carmen; and Tabitha, Autumn and Wilhelm Klink; his brothers, Harold Klink and Raymond Shroyer, both LaVale, Md.; his sister, Janie Loar, Frostburg, Md.; and six great-grandchildren.

Service: Funeral service at 11 a.m. today (6-5-13) in HARVEY H. ZEIGLER FUNERAL HOME, 169 Clarence St., Hyndman, Pa.
