James H. Heasley, formerly of Bluff Street, Grove City, passed away at 12:10 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, in Orchard Manor, Pine Township, after an extended illness. He was 85.
Mr. Heasley was born Jan. 2, 1928, in Grove City to Earl C. Heasley and Edith L. Buxton Heasley.
He retired from Cooper Energy Services, Grove City, and served in the U.S. Army.
Mr. Heasley formerly attended Grace United Methodist Church, Grove City.
His first wife, the former Ruth E. Lean, whom he married Sept. 29, 1956, passed away July 3, 1979. He then married Maude E. Guntrum Reddinger on March 9, 1980; she passed away on Feb. 23, 2012.
Surviving are: four stepchildren, Barbara Sowers, North Carolina; Pam Trinckes and her husband Vince, Hubbard; William Reddinger and his wife Eldine, Grove City; and Robert Reddinger, Raleigh, N.C.; and a sister, Thelma Rust, Grove City.
Besides his first and second wives, he was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, John and Earl Heasley; a stepdaughter, Loretta Miller; a stepgranddaughter, Kathy Walheim; and a stepgreat-grandson, Mike Hardesty.
