Bonnie June Carothers

RN at GC Medical Center was born-again Christian

Bonnie June Carothers of Foster Road, Jackson Township, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013. Mrs. Carothers passed at Visiting Nurses Association Hospice in Butler. She was 55.

Mrs. Carothers was born Aug. 7, 1958, in Greenville to Rodney and Lois Patterson McConnell of Muncie, Ind.

Bonnie graduated from Lakeview High School and the registered nurse nursing program at the Shenango campus of Penn State University, Sharon.

She was employed at Grove City Medical Center, Pine Township.

Bonnie was a born-again Christian and attended a home-based church.

Her husband, Daniel Carothers, whom she married April 19, 1980, survives at home.

She is survived by: two daughters, Jamie Christy; and Mrs. Ben "Sarah" Fleet, both Mercer; two brothers, Terry McConnell and his wife Diane, Hermitage; and Edward McConnell and his wife Amy, Sharpsburg, Ga.; a sister, Mrs. Brian (Linda) Master, Sharpsville; a sister-in-law, Esther McConnell, Peachtree City, Ga.; and three grandchildren, Celia, Cora and Clarissa Fleet.

She was preceded in death by a brother, David McConnell.

Memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurses Association Inpatient Hospice, 115 Technology Drive, Butler, PA 16001.
