PITTSBURGH — Betty Mae Cozad, Marion Township, Butler County, formerly of Collegeview Towers, Grove City, for 21 years, died at 12:33 p.m. Wednesday (8-7-13) in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was 84.

She was born March 28, 1929, in Grove City to William Arthur and Lillian Edith Kerr Carnahan.

She married Robert H. Cozad on Jan. 27, 1951. He passed away Dec. 31, 1991.

Betty was a graduate of Slippery Rock High School, class of 1947. 

She was a homemaker.

She was very family-oriented; her children and grandchildren were her life and she was a devoted Christian.

Survivors include: four daughters, Karen Busi and her husband Peter, Slippery Rock; Sue Buchanan and her husband Chuck, Mercer; Luanne Gills, Morston, Fla.; and Yvette Frampton and Ted Prorok, Harrisville; two sons, Mark Cozad and his wife Peggy, Clintonville; and Steve Cozad and his wife Laura, Forestville; a brother, Donald M. Carnahan and his wife Marcia, Slippery Rock; and 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Buckley; and two brothers, Robert and William Carnahan.

Memorial tributes in Betty's memory may be made to City Rescue Mission, 319 S. Croton Ave., New Castle, PA 16101.

Service: Memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 31, in Branchton United Methodist Church, 490 Branchton Road, Slippery Rock, with the Rev. Loren McQueen, pastor, officiating.

Burial: Findley Cemetery, Findley Township.
