PITTSBURGH — Jack J. Vereb, Harrisville, died Sunday evening, Feb. 17, 2013, in UPMC Passavant, Pittsburgh.

Born in Brownsville, Pa., he was a son of the late Paul G. Vereb and Ida Violet (Metcalfe) Vereb.

Jack was a retired welder for the Local  3 Ironworkers Union and was a lifetime member of the NRA and had enjoyed the outdoors and hunting.

His other interests included Corvettes and Harley Davidsons.

Surviving are: his sister, Paulette K. (Gerald) Stewart, Glenshaw, Pa.; a son, Paul Scott, McKeesport; a daughter, Gina Rae Vereb, Pittsburgh; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday (2-24-13) at Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.

Inurnment will take place in Redstone Cemetery, Brownsville, Fayette County.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
