Dennis A. 'Reddog' Hannold

Heavy equipment operator worked in Harrisville

BRUCETON MILLS, W.Va. — Dennis A. "Reddog" Hannold, Bruceton Mills, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at his home. He was 66.

He was born Aug. 19, 1946 in Meadville, the son of the late Rev. Elwood O. and Evangeline Markell Hannold.

Dennis lived in Grove City before moving in 1989 to Bruceton Mills, W.Va. He spent his early years in Emeigh, Luciusboro, and Boyers. He graduated from Moniteau High School in West Sunbury in 1964.

Afterwards, he worked for Delta airlines in Chicago, Ill.; H & F Auto Supply in Harrisville; and drove tractor-trailer for 12 years before becoming a heavy equipment operator for Amerikohl Mining, Inc., from 1980 to 2000, when he retired.

Denny was a member of the North Preston Crime Watch. He enjoyed being with his grandchildren and taking care of his lawn.

His wife, the former Margaret "Peg" Reddick, survives.

Also surviving are: three children, Christina Adams, wife of Tim, Lakewood, Ohio; Karen Woods, wife of Rick, Bruceton Mills; and Robert Hannold, and his fiancee, Candice Tolman, Virginia Beach, Va.; four grandchildren, Patrick and Megan Woods; and Madison and Bryn Tolman; two brothers, H.E. Hannold, husband of Jane, Hove Sound, Fla.; and Randy Hannold, husband of Kay, Cooperstown, Pa.; and his mother, in Stewart, Fla.

Calling hours: Family and friends called Friday (3-22-13) and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday (3-23-13) in Carl R. Spear Funeral Home, Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, W.Va.

Funeral: Service was 11:00 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home, with Rev. Barry M. Adkins officiating.
