Pine resident worked at Grove Manor 35 years

PINE — Janice "Jan" M. Gladd, Pine Township, died at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013, in her residence after an illness since Oct. 19, 2012. She was 70.

Mrs. Gladd was born June 9, 1942, in Boyers, Butler County, to Rayno Bonanni and Mary Jane DeMaria Bonanni.

Jan retired in 2011 from Grove Manor, Grove City, where she was employed for 35 years.

She was a member of Church of the Beloved Disciple, Pine Township.

Jan was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, sister and friend to all. She will be greatly missed.

Her husband, James E. Gladd, whom she married Sept. 9, 1942, passed away Feb. 25, 2012.

Surviving are: three children, Michelle Lander and her husband Donny Norris; and Dawn Buchanan and her companion Marguerite Rueger, all Richmond, Va.; and Michael Gilbert and his fianc┼Że Stephanie Leaptrot, Lawrenceville, Ga.; two grandchildren, Ericka Lander and her companion Corey Kradel, Grove City; and Elijah Gilbert, Lawrenceville; two great-grandchildren, Destiny and Dakoda Lander; a sister, Judith Bennett, Grove City; and her mother-in-law, Dama Gladd; and brother-in-law, Raymond Gladd, both Fredonia.

Besides her husband, Jan was preceded in death by her parents; a stepson, Jason Gladd; and a brother-in-law, Robert L. Bennett.

Calling hours: Were Tuesday (6-4-13) in the gathering space of Church of the Beloved Disciple, 1310 S. Center St. Extension, Pine Township.

Service: Mass of Christian was Tuesday in the church, with the Rev. Michael P. Allison, pastor, as celebrant.

Interment: National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, Pa.

Arrangements by CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME Inc., 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.
