Ex-waitress had ceramic shop, was cake designer

FINDLEY — Ruby L. Anderson, Findley Township, died at 9:40 a.m. Friday (6-7-13) at home. She was 85.

She was born July 9, 1927, in Pardoe (Findley Township) to John and Bryda Tonks Magargee.

She was formerly married to Frederick Weaver. She later married Clarence E. Anderson on July 10, 1965. He preceded her in death March 18, 2003.

Ruby retired from the former Grove City Diner, where she was a waitress for 27 years. 

Formerly she was a seamstress at Five Filer Brothers. She also operated Ruby's Ceramic Shop out of her home and she was a cake designer and baker for all occasions.

She was a member of Balm United Methodist Church, Blacktown.

Ruby was a wonderful mother and grandmother.

She is survived by Robert L. Weaver and his wife Jeannie, Grove City; Ronald K. Weaver and his wife Sandy, Greenville; Phyllis M. Ramsey and Wesley Bissette, Greenville, N.C.; Clarinda "Riny" Paxton and companion Randy Surrena, Mercer; David W. Anderson and his wife Susan, Malvern; Alice A. Burk and her husband James, New Castle; Clyde R. Anderson and his wife Ann, Malvern; and nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and four brothers, Clifford, Sam, Howard and Pete Magargee.

Memorial contributions in Ruby's memory may be made to Balm United Methodist Church.

Service: Was Tuesday (6-11-13) in the funeral home with the Rev. Richard Carlson officiating.

Burial: Crestview Memorial Park Inc., Grove City.
