Carrie S. Basham, died at 3:15 a.m. Tuesday, June 18, 2013, in Orchard Manor, Grove City. She was 95.
She was born Oct. 8, 1917, in New Castle to Preston B. and Carrie M. Bailey Jones. She married Fillmore J. Basham on Dec. 14, 1938, he passed away on May 25, 1991.
She was a house parent for several families and she was a beautician by trade.
She was a member of the former Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Franklin.
She is survived by: two daughters, Halley Polley, Sharon; and Gretchen Sherene Mosby and husband Hubert Mosby, Grove City; a son, Marvin B. Basham, Long Beach, Calif., five sisters, Ruth Small, Doran Gray and Carlotta Santori, all of Cleveland; and Otha Montgomery and Ella Jones, both of Grove City; 15 grandchildren; and more than 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Fillmore Basham, Jr.; two sisters, Cora Rose Cohen and Marie Percell; and two brothers, Preston B. and William Jones.

Service: Funeral service will be at 7 p.m. today (6-22-13) in the funeral home with Pastor Richard Faber, officiating.
Burial: Prairie Cemetery, Harrisville.
