Luella 'Lou' J. Thompson Young Clark, a resident of Findley Township since 1962, passed away at 12:40 a.m. Monday, July 15, 2013, in Hospitality Care Center, Hermitage, after an extended illness. She was 84.
Mrs. Clark was born Dec. 11, 1928, in Clairton, Pa., to Adam C. Thompson and Sarah E. Moore Thompson.
She was a graduate of Harrisville High School class of 1947.
Mrs. Clark was a homemaker and was formerly employed by H and R Block Tax Services.
She was a member of Tower Presbyterian Church, Grove City. Lou was a past member and secretary of Fraternal Order of Eagles Aeries 1895 Auxiliary, Grove City, for 20 years.
Her husband, Howard E. Clark, whom she married May 21, 1962, passed away in November 1996.
Surviving are two daughters, Linda Churchill and her husband J. Ronald, Grove City; and Tracy J. Treen and her husband Michael, Mercer; a stepdaughter, Mary Wick and her husband John, Florida.; 14 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; two children, John Young and Richard C. Young; a stepson, E. Scott Clark; seven sisters, Helen Barnes, Aldine Oskin Marsh, Toni Baur, Florence Snyder, Geraldine Little, Evelyn Laverick and Sara Gilbert; and two brothers, Edward and Russell Thompson.
