Richard Howard Semple of Irwin Township, Venango County, formerly of Titusville, died unexpectedly Friday evening (5-24-13) in Portersville. He was 55.
Mr. Semple was born Oct. 18, 1957, in Grove City to William Howard Semple Jr. and Wanda Darlene Wolfe Semple.
He married Wendy Jo Simons on Dec. 6, 1976.
He was a driver for McClymonds Supply and Transit Inc., Portersville, and formerly was a salesman for George J. Howe Co., Grove City.
He was of the Protestant faith.
A graduate of Grove City High School class of 1976, Richard enjoyed golf and softball. He played in local golf and softball leagues while living in the Titusville area for many years. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother and grandfather.
Surviving are: his wife, Wendy, at home; three children; Erica Semple, Harrisville; Kiley Semple, Grove City; and Todd Semple, Harrisville; eight grandchildren, Aliza, Sydney, Skyler, Carter, Eric, Joeylynn, Colton and Lillian; his parents, William and Wanda Semple, Harrisville; a sister, Valerie Ferguson and her husband Jeff, Harrisville; and two brothers, William Semple, Grove City; and Randy Semple and his wife Carey, New Smyrna Beach, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Richard and Mary Wolfe and William H. and Aida Semple.
Memorials in Richard's memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.

Burial: Crestview Memorial Park, Grove City.
