SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. —
Dorothy Deana Waterman Gahn, formerly of Phoenix, Ariz. and Grove City, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2012 in Scottdale, Ariz., at a nursing home, where she lived for two months. She was 91.
Mrs. Gahn was born Dec. 5, 1920 in Grove City to Milton H. Sr. and Deana Coad Waterman.
She attended Grove City schools, and graduated with the Class of 1938. She completed a two-year secretarian course in June of 1940 at Grove City College.
Mrs. Gahn worked at Wilson Company, Grove City, until her marriage to Allen O. Gahn, at which point they moved to the Philadelphia area. They returned to western Pennsylvania, where he was employed by International Harvester Company until his retirement, at which point they moved to Phoenix and Prescott, Ariz.
Her husband died July 29, 1985. He is buried in Prescott.
Surviving are: two children, Deana Christine Allen, wife of William, Phoenix; and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two sisters who live locally, Jean Waterman; and Sara Carlson, wife of William, all Grove City; and a brother, Donald Waterman, in North Carolina.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Marguerite Packer; and two brothers, Milton H. Jr. and James C. Waterman.
Mrs. Gahn donated her body to Hospice of the Valley, Phoenix; and will be buried in Prescott next to her husband's remains.
