PINE — Theodore E. Cook of Grove City passed away at 7:40 a.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2013, in Orchard Manor, Pine Township, after an extended illness. He was 89.

Mr. Cook was born Nov. 11, 1923, in Clifton Park, Northside Pittsburgh, to Raymond E. and Clara Platt Cook.

He retired in 1995 from Dean Dairy, South Pymatuning Township, where he was a milkman. He previously worked for the former Lewis Dairy and Meadow Gold Dairy.

He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Grove City.

He was a graduate of Grove City High School, class of 1941.

A veteran, he served in World War II with the Army Air Corps and belonged to American Legion Post 852, Harrisville; and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 519, Grove City.

He was an avid bowler and belonged to the former Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks in Grove City.

His wife, the former Diana Geanne Tedrow, whom he married Oct. 27, 1950, passed away Oct. 28, 2006.

Surviving are: two children, Pamela Ondeck and her husband Thomas E., Murrysville, Pa.; and Theodore E. Cook II, Grove City; six grandchildren, Skyler Cook, Jebediah Cook, Mercedes Cook, Abby Ondeck, Nathaniel Ondeck and Mariah Ondeck; and three great-grandchildren.

Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, George, J. Frank, Howard and Earl Cook; and two sisters, Anna Wimer and Ethel Gibson.
