GROVE CITY — Eugene R. Hamilton of 1037 Barkeyville Road, Pine Township, passed away at 7:40 p.m. Sunday, March 31, 2013, in Trinity Living Center, Grove City. He was 86.

Mr. Hamilton was born Sept. 12, 1926, in Tulsa, Okla., to Russell and Muriel Weston Hamilton.

He retired from Cooper Energy Services, Grove City, where he was a chipper for more than 38 years.

Mr. Hamilton served in the U.S.. Army during World War II.

He was of the Methodist faith and enjoyed working outdoors, doing yard work, boating and fishing.

His wife, the former Betty Lois Moon, whom he married May 4, 1951, survives.

Also surviving are five sisters, Theda Fletcher, Independence, La.; Betty Lou Lerche, Learch, Texas; Camelia Blunt, Louisiana; Lois Post and her husband Russ, Grove City; and Loretta Hamilton, Sandy Lake; and a brother, George Hamilton and his wife Bonnie, Grove City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Beverly King; and four brothers, Calvin, Otis, Donald and Nurmi Hamilton.

Calling hours: Were Wednesday (4-3-13) in CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME Inc., 306 Bessemer Ave., Grove City.

Service: Funeral service was Wednesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Amy Worline, chaplain of Trinity Living Center, Grove City, officiating.

Interment: Crestview Memorial Park Inc., Pine Township.
