Annie Kazimir

Enjoyed Hungarian roots, has sister in East Lack

GREENVILLE — Annie Kazimir, formerly of 2758 Tamarack Drive, South Pymatuning Township, passed away peacefully at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10, 2012, in UPMC Horizon, Greenville, with her daughter, Bonnie, and granddaughter, June, at her side. She was 96.

Mrs. Kazimir was born Dec. 22, 1915, in Seth, W.Va., a daughter of Louis and Julia Sebok Elekes.

She was educated in West Virginia and moved to the area in 1929.

She was a Presbyterian.

A homemaker, Annie enjoyed embroidering, cleaning, gardening and cooking. She was particularly proud of her Hungarian heritage and enjoyed cooking ethnic food.

She loved all animals, especially her cat, Patty Cake; and her granddaughter's cat, Ravioli, and dog, Luna.

Her husband, Charles C. Kazimir, whom she married April 3, 1935, passed away Dec. 21, 1974.

She is survived by: two daughters, Judith Ann Davey, Sharon; and her caregivers, Bonnie L. Thalman and her husband William, with whom she made her home; a sister, Helen Lary, East Lackawannock Township; eight grandchildren, including June Thalman Bruckner and her husband Rick Bruckner, Sharon, who were also instrumental in her care; and a great-grandson, Tristan Reese Bruckner, who was the light of her life.

In addition to her husband, Annie was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Charles C. Kazimir Jr. and Robert L. Kazimir; and three brothers, Julius, Louis and William Elekes.

Interment in West Side Cemetery, South Pymatuning Township.

Arrangements by J. Bradley McGonigle Funeral Home and Crematory Inc., Sharon.
