OAKLAND — Esther Zimmerman of Leesburg-Grove City Road, Springfield Township, passed away on Monday, Aug. 5, 2013, in UPMC Oakland, Allegheny County. She was 102.

Mrs. Zimmerman was born March 25, 1911, in Springfield Township to James Walter Clinefelter and Cora Edith Jackson Clinefelter.

She married Henry Harrison Zimmerman in 1942; he preceded her in death in 1987.

She graduated from what was then New Wilmington High School and attended the former Shenango Business School in Sharon.

Mrs. Zimmerman provided private home health care.

She was a member of Church of God of Prophecy in Leesburg and had attended Leesburg Presbyterian Church for most of her life.

Survivors include: three daughters, Shirley Ann Zimmerman and her husband Robert Thomas Hampl, Mercer; Sara Jane Bowser, Youngstown; and Carol Irene Zimmerman, Mercer; two sons, George Walter Zimmerman, Norfolk, Va.; and Gary Lee Zimmerman, Farrell; and two grandchildren, Kimberly Lynn Bowser; and Megan Bowser Hall and her husband Joshua Michael Hall.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Calling hours: Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday (8-8-13) in SMITH FUNERAL HOME OF LEESBURG, 1778 Perry Highway, Springfield Township.

Service: Funeral services at 11 a.m. Friday (8-9-13) in the funeral home.

Interment: Carpenter Cemetery, Springfield Township.
