Dauna Jane Snedden

Grove City resident taught china painting

PINE — Dauna Jane Snedden, a lifelong resident of Grove City, passed away at 4:50 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2013, in Orchard Manor, Pine Township, after an extended illness. She was 82 years old.

Mrs. Snedden was born Jan. 7, 1931, in Grove City to her parents, Norman Hassel and F. June Buxton Hassel.

She graduated from Grove City High School in 1948 and on July 7, 1958, married her husband, Richard Snedden.

She was a member of East Main Presbyterian Church, Grove City.

Mrs. Snedden was a past-president of the former Bashline Memorial Guild. She belonged to the Pennsylvania Porcelain Artist group and taught china painting.

She also enjoyed gardening and attending craft shows.

Mrs. Snedden is survived by two children, Ellen Donaldson and her husband David; and Donald Jennings, all Grove City; a brother, Darrell Hassel, Marion, Ohio; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Douglas Snedden; a daughter, Dari Deems; a sister, Darlene Stabile; and a grandson, Skyler Donaldson.

Service and burial: Cremation will take place with no services scheduled at this time per her request.
