HARRISVILLE AREA —
After a devastating fire last year that took the livelihood out of Sonny Myers of Myers Auto Repair, he has reopened to do inspections and mechanical work.
Due to the nature of the fire, his insurance company would not cover the loss due to the wood burner that heated his garage and caught fire.
A community benefit was held last year but did not bring in as much as anticipated. A private donor gave $1,000 and insurance a few thousand dollars, but it did not even come close for him to rebuild as quickly as anticipated.
He lost most if not all of his tools, personal items and his complete computer system which was a requirement for his operation. Another set-back delayed the reopening as a few months ago while rebuilding, he fell 12 feet onto his back and was hospitalized for quite a while with fractures.
The monetary loss, cost of rebuilding not only the garage but of his clientele is coming along slowly but not fast enough to sustain. The garage walls are up and the building is in operation but the much work is still needed to complete his garage as well as get back on track to create revenue.
Please stop by at 28 Browntown Road or call Sonny at 724-458-6516 to schedule your inspection or mechanical work.
